EMC DOT Rating

As we all know, road safety is everyone's responsibility: passenger vehicle drivers, truck drivers, bus drivers, bicyclists, motorcyclists, and even pedestrians. There are many different safety challenges: blind spots, long stopping distances, wide turns, speed, weather conditions, accidents; therefore, safety is number one priority at EMC. Trucking companies could receive one of the three potential safety DOT ratings: Satisfactory, Conditional or Unsatisfactory. Satisfactory is the best possible outcome when it comes to safety ratings, this is the current EMC rating by Department of Transportation:

Drivers driving under the carrier’s DOT number must check violations under carrier’s number. Scores are between 0 and 100, the lower the better. Some violations are a cut and dry point system; however, some violations are calculated by the severity of or the volume of the violation itself.
